Piece by piece.

Last summer I started to mosaic a table top. But I didn't finish it off. It is one of the jobs that you have to make some time for, you can't do it in a rush.
I made a mosaic from old cups and plates that I found on garage sale and op shops in the area and on holiday.
It is great if you sit outside and look at the table and spot to plate that you found during the holiday. Brings me back to good memories.

The table and chairs are standing on my front veranda on a nice sunny spot. And even in the winter you will catch some sunshine. On a rainy day this is the perfect spot as well.

We started a mosaic table but have yet to stick it down. Your directors chairs look so fresh and peaceful too.

oh that is so beautiful and perfectly compliments your chairs. I like mosaic but sometimes the colour schemes look so bright and garish and not to my taste but that is so pretty and I'm very inspired!!
I've picked up many broken pieces of crockery over the years either on the beach or on walks and would love to do something similar.

A lot of work has gone into it! Looks really great, I especially like the round middle - that's clever.

Ik geloof zo dat het een hele klus was, maar je hebt wel eer van je werk! Moois scherfjes heb je er voor gebruikt. Het is een gezellig hoekje geworden zo!

Introducing

This is the first time that I write in my blog.
I am Jacoline, me and my family emigrated to New Zealand from The Netherlands 3 years ago.
I can tell you, we went through some hard times in those 3 years, but we found our dream.

We bought a lovely home close to the beach. I spend a lot of time in our garden which has a lot of fruit trees, a nice vegetable garden and great flowers.

I love to shop in secondhand shops and garages sales are the best invention ever.
My days are filled with craft, cooking , baking and of course my 3 girls.
I try to have a beachwalk every day and on wednesday I join the quilt club.

We are still busy with rebuiling the house to make it a great home.
We like traveling and like to discover our new country.
I keep you updated with new stories, recipes, ideas and pictures every week.
