Creative week, part 1

Love hearts made from linen, with a button made from shells and a jute string.

We spotted a great letterbox on our walking trip.
I love letterboxes like this!

I like to organize a creative week. Close to the arts trail there is a lot off work to do and to finish. And I really like to show you all the things I made. So from now on every day another item. But I do more than only sitting behind my sewing machine. Yesterday we went for a big family walk. We parked the car on a parking place and made a great walk and we went back by train. Always a great experience for the kids because we never go by train. It was great and we had great views. I'm very happy to live in a beautiful country like this.

The first thing I want to show you are the linen love hearts with a button made from shells and a jute string. Very natural. I have to update my Etsy shop as well with new items , that's an other job on the "to do" list. Better go and do some work!

Jacoline (Lien) I love your love hearts and my goodness what a beautiful photo of the sea...we have just started our winter with -4c expected tonight. It is wonderful to share nature with your family. I love to read your blog. It brings some sun into my thoughts and my cold wintry country. Margie.

What a lovely hearts! They would sure be great for christmas ornaments too. And oh my god, how I would like to come to NZ, seeing all those lovely pictures!
(And we will definitely come in the future somewhere, to visit my friend in Australia as well)

Introducing

This is the first time that I write in my blog.
I am Jacoline, me and my family emigrated to New Zealand from The Netherlands 3 years ago.
I can tell you, we went through some hard times in those 3 years, but we found our dream.

We bought a lovely home close to the beach. I spend a lot of time in our garden which has a lot of fruit trees, a nice vegetable garden and great flowers.

I love to shop in secondhand shops and garages sales are the best invention ever.
My days are filled with craft, cooking , baking and of course my 3 girls.
I try to have a beachwalk every day and on wednesday I join the quilt club.

We are still busy with rebuiling the house to make it a great home.
We like traveling and like to discover our new country.
I keep you updated with new stories, recipes, ideas and pictures every week.
