Home made bread.

I love baking bread, specially different ones. I make the dough in the bread maker, because it is easy and saves a lot of time and hard work (so I have time to do other things in between) then I bake the bread in the oven.
Last Saturday I found 2 great bread tins on a garage sale. I never saw them before so I bought them and make some nice muesli bread.
I used the normal recipe for bread and added a big bowl of muesli and a hand full of sultanas. It turned out very nice and tasty.

Tonight we are having vegetarian soup for diner and I serve it with a home made cumin-bread. Just add some cumin seeds at the dough and bake in the oven. Great taste!

Jacoline! That's the coolest thing I've seen in a while! I'm going to keep my eye out for something like that!

Ohhh...what memories for me seeing these tins. My Nanna had the exact tin so you have prompted me to go on a hunt for it. Either my Father or Auntie have it in their stash, no use it just sitting in a box. I must have it now. Your cumin bread sounds delicious, I do love all things cumin.

Jacoline (Lien) I have never seen those tins but they are fantastic, and the bread looks so good. Best wishes to you and your family for Sinterklaas...will you be eating oranges and speculoos and leaving out some carrots or apples for the horse? I will be in Vienna so I hope he knows where to find me. hugs Margie.

Introducing

This is the first time that I write in my blog.
I am Jacoline, me and my family emigrated to New Zealand from The Netherlands 3 years ago.
I can tell you, we went through some hard times in those 3 years, but we found our dream.

We bought a lovely home close to the beach. I spend a lot of time in our garden which has a lot of fruit trees, a nice vegetable garden and great flowers.

I love to shop in secondhand shops and garages sales are the best invention ever.
My days are filled with craft, cooking , baking and of course my 3 girls.
I try to have a beachwalk every day and on wednesday I join the quilt club.

We are still busy with rebuiling the house to make it a great home.
We like traveling and like to discover our new country.
I keep you updated with new stories, recipes, ideas and pictures every week.
