Back to normal.

Private beach

sailing trip

Cafe Nina out of my Crafty book, a great palce to stop and have a coffee.

Beach with millions of shells

We are back from a great holiday and everything is back in his normal routine. Back to work and the girls back to school. Back to new classes , new friends and a new school for Elle, who started High school yesterday.

We spend the last week of the school holiday camping in a great area in New Zealand the weather was warm, sometimes to warm but we don't complain. We brought our own kano so we had hours of fun on the beach in the afternoons. Everyday we made a day trip and at the end of the day we spent some time at the beach. Sometimes we had the whole beach for our self. The water was aqua blue and the sand bright white. Normally you see that in a brochure but this was real, amazing!!

There was one beach that didn't had sand but millions of little shells, we spend a whole afternoon there just looking at all the great shells. And ofcourse we took some home to put in a glass bowl for decoration.
My Crafty girls on a road trip book was our guide for nice shops and great places for a coffee stop.
And last but not least we made a sailing trip on a big sailing boat ,it was great!!

Wohw, dat klinkt allemaal super gezellig!! Fijn dat jullie het zo top hebben gehad.
Grappig om te lezen dat Elle nu naar High School gaat. Zo midden in het jaar, dat kennen wij hier niet. Wens haar succes! Altijd spannend zo'n eerste dag.

Your holiday sounds like quality family time and good luck settling back in for the new school season. The photos are a welcome break from all the snow photos we have here. hugs Margie.

Introducing

This is the first time that I write in my blog.
I am Jacoline, me and my family emigrated to New Zealand from The Netherlands 3 years ago.
I can tell you, we went through some hard times in those 3 years, but we found our dream.

We bought a lovely home close to the beach. I spend a lot of time in our garden which has a lot of fruit trees, a nice vegetable garden and great flowers.

I love to shop in secondhand shops and garages sales are the best invention ever.
My days are filled with craft, cooking , baking and of course my 3 girls.
I try to have a beachwalk every day and on wednesday I join the quilt club.

We are still busy with rebuiling the house to make it a great home.
We like traveling and like to discover our new country.
I keep you updated with new stories, recipes, ideas and pictures every week.
